The United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley will make back-packs available to families in need on Thursday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Calhoun County CRI parking lot, 258 Court St., Grantsville.
Families need to pre-sent a Medical Card or a SNAP statement from one of the last three months to qualify for a backpack. Backpacks are available for students ages pre-K through high school.
Back-to-School Back-pack Initiative is a pro-gram of United Way. This year, it expects to deliver nearly 3,000 backpacks to students across the Mid-Ohio Valley.
You can also stop in the United Way office at 935 Market St., Parkersburg, to get a backpack starting on Monday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
