We are know that Christmas is for children, no matter their age. There are songs to sing, cookies to make, decorations to hang, and games to play.
Christmas in the Village is the perfect place for children of all ages to come and get in the holiday spirit. Visitors can stop in at Stevens School to make a Christmas craft and see the one-room schoolhouse decorated for the holidays.
Remember to keep your ears pealed for the hourly bell that will signal the Jingle Bell Jig is about to begin.
Everyone will want to stop at Santa’s sleigh to say hello to the jolly, old Elf and receive a tasty treat. For those who want to make sure that Santa doesn’t forget anything on your list, drop into Freed Post Office to write him a letter.
Jarvis Store is the perfect place to do some Christmas shopping and satisfy your sweet tooth, and don’t forget to stop by Stemple Cabin to sit by the fire, make a second craft, and take a peek into the newly opened loft.
All of last year’s activities are back, and we have a few surprises in store for the young and young-at-heart.
Christmas in the Village will be held at Heritage Village, Calhoun County Park, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 24, sponsored by Calhoun Historical Society.
