Fundraiser Can Help MHHS & LKACF
On May 7–for 24-hours only–you can multiply the impact of your gift to your favorite non-profits in the Little Kanawha area.
According to Parkers-burg Area Community Foundation, your dona-tions on Tuesday through www.GiveLocalMOV.org will enable non-profits to earn significant matching funds and cash prizes.
Give Local MOV is powered by PACF and its regional affiliates, which provide the secure online giving platform, underwrite campaign costs, and provide educa-tion for its non-profit partners.
Many generous com-munity supporters, led by Superior Toyota, supplied the critical matching funds. In addition, hourly cash prizes, sponsored by various local businesses, reward non-profits whose supporters contribute throughout the day.
A total of 50 partici-pating nonprofits are initially assigned a share of the matching funds, then, donors who contribute online May 7 will have their gifts matched 1:1 up to the allotted share.
Should any organiza-tions not claim their full allocation of matching funds after the 24 hours, PACF will proportionately allocate the remaining funds among non-profits that exceeded their initial share.
PACF’s Development and Communications officer Julie Posey said, “Our region’s nonprofits address many important issues that affect our community; this is a once-a-year opportunity to help them in a big way!”
Participating from the Little Kanawha area are:
-Minnie Hamilton Health System, which is dedicated to improving the health quality of life of all people in its service area through an innovative delivery system of services and education.
-Little Kanawha Area Community Foundation, which works with chari-table individuals, families, businesses, and civic or nonprofit organizations to make a positive and perm-anent commitment for the future of Calhoun, Gilmer and Wirt counties.
Visit www.GiveLocal MOV.org to see the full list of sponsors and learn more about all the participating nonprofits.
Return to the website on Tuesday to make an online donation. For details or to help sponsor the campaign, call Posey, 428-4438.
