Trudi Anderson, school nurse, has announced the following requirements for students in the next school year:
“As part of a four-year phase-in plan for student health, it is a recommendation from the State that all new enterers, pre-kindergarten/kindergarten, second grade, seventh grade, and now seniors, have a dental exam, as well as well-child checks.
“These can be accepted from a previous visit, as long as it is dated no more than one year prior to the start of school.
“They can also be completed 45 days after the start of the new school year. Although this is a recommendation, it is not a requirement for your student to start school.
“Immunizations, on the other hand, must be up-to-date and is a requirement to be able to attend school.”
