Route 33 Wrestling director and founder Jessi Cosgrove has announced the delivery of school supplies to three schools in Calhoun and Roane counties, including Cal-houn Middle/High.
The boxes of supplies, such as notebooks, pen-cils, pens, binders, etc., were delivered on Mon-day by Cosgrove and former Route 33 wrestling champion Mongo.
Route 33 Wrestling, a pro wrestling company based in Spencer, held its second show, “School Yard Throwdown,” on Aug. 11, which doubled as a school supply drive, resulting in the donation of over 600 items.
According to Cosgrove, Route 33 Wrestling’s mission is to utilize pro-fessional wrestling as a tool for positive change in the community.
The debut show in March, “Spring Break-down,” raised funds for the Calhoun Middle School’s National History Day team. Future events being planned include canned food drives, toy drives, fundraisers, etc.
