MARY YOAK
Mary L. Yoak, 71, of Waterford, Ohio, died Monday, July 23, 2018, at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beverly, Ohio.
She was born in Big Bend, the daughter of the late Roy and Stella Metz Miller. She had worked at Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Beverly, for 20 years. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Waterford.
Surviving are her husband, Denver D. Yoak, whom she married on Feb. 10, 1963; one daughter, Carla Arnold and husband Brett of Waterford; one son, James M. Yoak and wife Nancy of Bradensburg, Ky.; three grandchildren, Samantha Ann Arnold of Waterford, Frank Arnold and wife Samantha Leigh of Jacksonville, N.C., and Connor Yoak of Potomac, Ill.; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Arnold of Jacksonville; one brother, John Miller and wife Helen of Prestonsburg, Ky.; three sisters, Ginny Miller and husband Carroll of Wooster, Ohio, Darlene Lott and husband Dale of Williamstown and Tina Jones and husband Olen of Five Forks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Lucille McCoy and Carolyn Sue Ray.
Services were held at McCurdy Funeral Home, Beverly, with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial was in Waterford Cemetery.
ESTEL HUSK TEDRICK
Estel M. Husk Tedrick, 78, of Creston, died Thursday, July 26, 2018.
She was born at Cremo, the son of the late Grant and Irene Edgell Husk. She attended Full Gospel Lighthouse Church until her failing health prevented her from leaving home.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Watson and Pamela Robinson; four grandchildren, Robert Watson and Caleb, Autumn and Chloe Robinson; and four great-grandchildren, Brionna, Austin, Alexis and Grace.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rosa Lue; her first husband and the father of her daughters, Robert Propst; and her husband of 36 years, James K. Tedrick.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Pastor Mike Doherty officiating. Burial was in St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery.
GENE CARTER
Gene Carter, 84, of Lower Nicut Road, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Locie and Russell Carter of Calhoun County.
Surviving are two daughters, Rhonda Bowen and Mary Warner, both of Calhoun County; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Carter of Walker Road and Dale Carter of Rittman, Ohio; and four sisters, Nina Wilfong of Glenville, Louise Ice of Spencer, Judy Dobbins of Alabama and Opal Kirchburg of Weston.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Irene Carter, on Oct. 30, 2014, and one son, Philip Carter, on May 26, 2014.
Graveside service was held at King Cemetery, Little Walnut Hill Road, with Pastor Roger Carter officiating.
JOHNIE FRANKLIN GREATHOUSE
Johnie Franklin Greathouse, 54, of Arnoldsburg, died Satur-day, July 14, 2018, at his home.
He was born in Grantsville, the son of Pearl Carpenter of Arnoldsburg and the late Johnie Greathouse.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two children, Aaron and Desiree; three sisters, Debbie, Hazel and Brenda; four brothers, Eddie, Jason, James and David; step-father, James Carpenter; and step-mother, Sue Greathouse.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen.
