SHIRLEY CORBIN
Shirley Corbin, 81, died, Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, in Evergreen, Colo.
She was born and raised in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Theresa Francis and Hall Francis of Grantsville.
Surviving are two children, Beth Griffin and Max Corbin, and two grandchildren, Kyra Griffin and Amber Griffin.

EDWARD JOSEPH ‘Pop’ SNYDER
Edward Joseph “Pop” Snyder, 69, of Grantsville, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018.
He was the son of the late Peter Joseph Snyder and Delcie “Peggy” Teal Spurrier. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was recognized as a sharpshooter.
Surviving are four sons, Jeff Campbell, Paul Campbell, Josh Campbell and John Snyder; two daughters, Kristy Gower and Shannon May; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Delcie “Susan” Spurrier.

MOZELLE ‘Tootie’ JUSTICE
Mozelle “Tootie” Justice, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at the home of her niece, Tina Cottrell of Weston.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mabel Sears Green. She was a life-long resident of Louisville, Ohio.
Surviving are two sons, Jarret Justice of Chloe and Jamie Justice of Louisville; two grandchildren, Shauna and Joseph Justice; four step-grandchildren, Madison and Austin Gribble and Coy and Allen Bailey; one sister, Brenda Holcomb of Sand Ridge; three brothers, James Green of Evans, Larry Green of Leesville, Ohio, and Cecil Green of Spencer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Justice; seven sisters, Virginia Hively, Genieve Beckett, Joetta Westfall, Mary Lou Smith, Alice “Punk” Green, Ada Green and Elizabeth Green; three brothers, Kenneth Pettit, Robert Green and Eugene Green; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Bishop Justice; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with burial in Lamb Cemetery.

LEONA SEARS
Leona B. Sears, 84, of Chloe, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston.
She was born at Oka, the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Monie M. Burns Conley. She attended Minnora United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Michael “Mick” Sears of Chloe; one daughter-in-law, Michele Sears of Chloe; three granddaughters, Rebecca McClung and husband Jay of Belington, Rachel Sears and significant other John Swift of Alexandria, Va., and Julie Sears and significant other Jim Moneypenny of Mt. Zion; two great-granddaughters, Autumn McClung and Emily Sears; and one sister-in-law, Alice Conley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Sears; one son, Stephen Sears; one daughter, Cheryl Fross; two brothers, Robert and Harlan; and two sisters, Norma and Merle.
Services were held at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial was in Cooper Cemetery, Chloe.
GLEN FOWLER
Glen V. Fowler, 96, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living Facility, Marietta, Ohio.
He was the son of the late Levi Franklin and Elfie Barr Fowler, and a life-long resident of Grantsville. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and attended Bethany College. He was a United States Navy veteran and served as a naval aviator in the Pacific during World War II.
He began working at Calhoun County Bank as a janitor, and worked his way up to president and CEO of Calhoun Banks.
He retired in 1988, but remained the acting CEO until 2015. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Grantsville, where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Dorothy Dye Fowler of Marietta, Ohio; one son, Terry Lee Fowler and wife Sandy of Annamoriah; one daughter, Joyce Christine Baloy and husband Fred of Pomeroy, Ohio; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Madaline Moore, Imogene Hoskins and Oleva Gainer; and one brother, Foster Fowler.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma McEndree and Geraldine Wallace; four brothers, Edward Fowler, Durward Fowler, Victor Fowler and Dale Fowler; and one grandson, Levi James Fowler.
Glen chose to donate his body to the Human Gift Registry of WVU. A Memorial/Celebration service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at Brooksville Baptist Church, Big Bend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Grantsville, in his memory.
