SUSAN NUTTER
Susan D. Nutter, 81, of Grantsville, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Garland and Alta Stump. She retired from BF Goodrich as a senior buyer. She was an active member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Marvin Nutter of Barberton, Ohio; two daughters Lisa Nicholas and Christina Ballengee, both of Grantsville; seven grandchildren, Cari Heiney, Cameron Nicholas, Shauna Yeager, Trenton Church, Erica Nutter, Kayla Nutter and Jared Nutter; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael Stump; and two sisters, Marjorie Gherke and Margaret Stump.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roxel Stump, and one sister, Emogene Boggs.
Services were held at Pleasant Hill U.M. Church, with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill U.M. Church Cemetery.
ART BROWN
Art L. Brown, 72, of Arnoldsburg, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at his home.
He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Basil Clarence and Lola Marie Burchett Brown.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Brown and wife Angie of Concord, N.C., and Roger Paul Brown of Kannapolis, N.C.; one daughter, Melinda Murray and husband Fletcher of Rock Hill, S.C.; ex-wife, Glenda Carter of Orma; two brothers, Junior Brown and wife Mary of Grantsville and Roger Brown and wife Carol of Spencer; five sisters, Linda McCumbers of Arnoldsburg, Polly Helmick and husband Denver of Nicut, Mary Witt and Carol Webster, both of Spencer, and Suzanne Waggoner of Arnoldsburg; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cecile Brown, and four brothers-in-law, Willard McCumbers, Norman Witt, Claude Webster and Orville Waggoner.

RALPH AUSTIN YOAK
Ralph Austin Yoak, 88, of Cape Coral, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in Parkersburg.
He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late John W. Yoak and Eva Richards Yoak. He was a 1947 graduate of Calhoun County High School. He enlisted in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant during the Korean War. He graduated with honors in electrical engineering from University of Colorado in 1957. He worked the majority of his professional career as an engineer for Hughes Aircraft Co.
Surviving are his siblings, Clifford “Kip” Yoak and wife Jean of McAllen, Tex., Garnett Chernesky of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Herb Yoak of Big Bend, Betty McVaney of Parkersburg and Beverly Robinson of Jonesboro, Ga., and nine nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Yoak and Ronald Yoak, and one sister, June Cunningham.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, noon, at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.
