Frances Irene Jarvis Saffir, 81, of Spencer, died Sunday, Apr. 8, 2018, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was born at Ovapa, the daughter of the late Spencer and Dona Jarvis. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Spencer.
Surviving are two step-sons, Richie and Michael Saffir; two step-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Rice of Austin, Tex., Mary Parsons of Dover, Fla., and Arletta Conley of Chloe; four brothers, James Jarvis of Bristol, Tenn., Kenneth Jarvis of Reno, Ohio, Jack Jarvis of Westmoreland, Tenn., and Danny Jarvis of Minnora; one sister-in-law, Madelon Jarvis of Elkview; friend and neighbor, Juanita Dale; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Saffir, and three brothers, Paul Jarvis, Marvin Jarvis and Charles Jarvis.
Honoring her wishes, there was no funeral or visitation. Graveside service was held at Minnora Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Wood officiating.
