MARGIE WILLIAMS EVANS

Margie I. Williams Evans, 94, of Arnoldsburg, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at home.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ila Langford Williams. She was formerly employed at Kellwood Co., Spencer, with 25 years of service. She was one of the original founding members of Arnoldsburg Community Center, a 65-year member of the Order of Eastern Star where she was Past Matron of the Spencer and Grantsville chapters, former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and member of Albert’s Chapel, Sand Ridge.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Fowler of Parkersburg and Sharman Matthew of Arnoldsburg; one son, Timothy Evans of Wheeling; eight grand-children; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Evans; one great-grandchild; one brother, Thomas D. Williams; and one sister, Mildred Pritchard.

Services were held at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor David Weaver officiating. Burial was in Spencer Memorial Cemetery.


DOROTHY JANE HARRELL

Dorothy Jane Harrell, 94, of Cutler, Ohio, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Florida.

She was born in Grantsville, the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Bertha Glover Armstrong. She had attended Stout Memorial United Methodist Church for several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Kerrigan and Michaelyn Potter; four grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Creel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo P. Harrell; one sister, Betty Hamrick; and one brother, Frank Armstrong.

Graveside service was held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.
