PAUL GORDON BAILEY

Paul Gordon Bailey, 92, of Tariff, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Milo, the son of Joe R. and Stella Moss Bailey. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy on a carrier from 1943 to 1946, where he received the Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Star, American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal. He retired from Pennzoil in 1988 and was a member of Henry’s Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Lelah Myrl Bailey; two sons, Randall Bailey of Tariff and Richard Bailey of Palestine, Tex.; one daughter, Rita Gainer of Spencer; seven grandchildren, Ronald Bailey, Jennifer Thurman, Shannon Eagle, Jessica Taylor, Samantha Lynch, Lindsay Gainer and Megan Gainer; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held at John Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial was in Upper Fink Cemetery, Minnora.

DONALD ‘Bruce’ EPLING WHITE

Donald “Bruce” Epling White, 71, of Spencer, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at his home.
He was born in West Virginia, the son of the late Elsie Grace Greathouse.

Surviving are four sisters, Alice “Faye” Hicks and Mary Starcher, both of Mt. Zion, Martha Ball of Rittman, Ohio, and Ruthie Sinclair of Arizona; one granddaughter, Kieara Shamblen of Sandyville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Missy Shamblen; two brothers, “Sonny” Greathouse and Herman Jett; and one sister, Margaret Greathouse.

There was no service. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
